The League of Grateful Sons

This being Memorial Day, I want to recommend a good film which honors the men who have served our country. The League of Grateful Sons takes a number of World War II veterans back to the island of Iwo Jima where they fought sixty years before. It is very moving to see these men tell their sons and grandchildren about the faith that kept them alive through such difficult circumstances.

The filmmakers sought to record the stories of those who came before us, and to honor these men who fought for our freedoms. The filmmakers far exceeded these goals. The history of these great Christian warriors will now be preserved for generations yet to be born. Don’t miss this worthwhile film!

Tonight at 7:00 PM PST, this film will air on TBN. It is also showing at a number of churches across the US today.

Is Roe vs. Wade the Law of the Land?

Most of us are upset that liberal judges are "legislating from the bench". We know that judges are not supposed to make law, right? Then why do we play along when an activist judge does legislate from the bench?

Many Christians say "courts cannot make law", but when courts do make law they say, "I guess I have to obey the judge because I have to follow the rule of law." It's true that we must follow the rule of law, but is the rule of law whatever a judge says it is? No! The rule of law is the US Constitution which says in Article. VI.,
“This Constitution...shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby...”
Article VI also requires that public officials be
“...bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution...”
A judge's opinion is not the rule of law; the Constitution is the rule of law! This logically means that, when a renegade judge gives an unlawful order, we must disobey him and obey the Constitution instead. Furthermore, we must impeach judges that violate the rule of law.

With all the above in mind, allow me to ask the question, "Is Roe vs. Wade the law of the land?" Think on that awhile, then read this article if you need some more convincing.

Interview with Rev. William Einwechter

Last week, I filmed the first piece of recording for A Defense of God’s Law. Rev. William Einwechter graciously allowed me to record his comments for the film. Mr. Einwechter brings a wealth of knowledge that will enhance this film tremendously. His book, Ethics and God’s Law, covers much of the same information that we are presenting in A Defense of God’s Law. A brief biography of Mr. Einwechter can be read here.

The backdrop for our recording was a bookshelf which is filled with books from floor to ceiling. In front of the bookshelf, Mr. Einwechter sat at his desk and chair while I recorded his comments. We recorded about 60 minutes of material. Of course, some of the material will be condensed when I get to the editing stage, but much of it will remain in the final film.

After the recording, I was welcomed into the Einwechter home for dinner with the family. I will not soon forget this blessed time of fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ!

I am so grateful to Mr. Einwechter for devoting his time to this project. My prayer is that God will be glorified through this film and through Mr. Einwechter’s generous contribution of knowledge and wisdom.

Change to Film/ New Booklet Coming

A Defense of God's Law was originally intended to be a film which demonstrates that God's Law applies today, and more specifically, how it applies to the realm of civil government. After much deliberation, I have decided to split up these related topics into two separate products.

The sole focus of A Defense of God's Law will be to demonstrate from Scripture that God's law applies to every aspect of civilization at all times. I intend to write a booklet which will focus on how the law of God applies to one specific aspect of society - civil government. I will soon post further details about this booklet.

Coming Soon: Autumn Breeze/ Winter Freeze

Editing has been completed for the short film, Autumn & Winter. This film will soon be released (alongside Consider God's Creation) on a DVD called Autumn Breeze/ Winter Freeze. The cover design should be sent off to the printer by the end of this week (1st week of May).

The DVD will contain an introduction by yours truly. That segment will soon be edited, and then the DVD menu will be created.

We are expecting to release the DVD later this month. I'll keep you posted!

I should make a brief note that I have decided not to include Do Stars Prove the Bible Wrong? on this particular DVD. Perhaps I'll make it available as a download sometime in the future.
