Counting down the days

It's just a few short weeks until the SAICFF. We're so excited that we've even added a countdown timer to GodHonoringMovies.com (it's in the sidebar).

Competition is fierce this year, and there is no end of speculation about which films will win. Many people think Fireproof will win both Best of Festival and Audience Choice Award. I'm not convinced. While I won't offer my own speculations, I will say that I think Fireproof has some tough competition for the Audience Choice Award. It's all about demographics. Children far outnumber adults at the SAICFF, and children can vote for Audience Choice. I'd say this gives The Widow's Might a good shot at that award. But then there's Pendragon, which will appeal to many teens at the fest.

Let's just say this will be interesting!

Big news about the SAICFF!

I don't quite know how this is possible, but Vision Forum will soon be making more big announcements about the SAICFF and the Christian Filmmakers Academy! As reported on Doug's Blog, they received 250 submissions to the SAICFF, including 50 feature-length films. It looks like it's shaping up to be a spectacular event for Christian filmmakers and film lovers everywhere. Don't miss it!
